Google Chrome Browser Beta, first impression

After the news broke yesterday with a comic about the long expected Google browser today is the day the first Beta could be downloaded and tested.
The install is fast and easy, so far so good.
The user interface is plain and simple as you might expect from Google and and it feels very natural. There is no clutter and everything is easy to understand.
One of the first things I noticed is the incredible speed compared to other browsers, it renders pages like a formula 1 car. Of course there are no plugins installed like I have in Firefox and I was wondering if there where any developer tools for Chrome yet because I simply need those.
